What could be more beautiful than the ocean? How about a lighthouse and the ocean? No wait... how about a lighthouse, the ocean and my children? Yes, that's it! Nothing could be more beautiful!
Last summer while staying in Yachts we went to Heceta Head Lighthouse and Yaquina Bay Lighthouse and fell in love with them. After living in Oregon for 30 years, I can't believe I had never been to one - at least that I can remember. Brian and I decided that we would make it our mission to see all of the Oregon Lighthouses. So once June hit, I started to make plans...
This is Yaquina Head Lighthouse in Newport. We went on a day trip to Tillamook and hit this one on our way home. 
Isn't he handsome! Lily went with us on this trip so Bricen stayed outside with her and I to keep me company while Brianna and Brian went up to the top of the lighthouse. Bricen is always the gentleman, watching out for his girls!
Cape Meares Lighthouse was recently vandalized so we werent able to go to the top. As you can see from the picture there were many bullet holes shot into the expensive glass. I don't know how anyone could intentionally destroy such beauty. It was a nice little hike up to this one and a beautiful view.
The opposiet direction of the Lighthouse on the hiking path, there is an Octopus Tree. It seriously looks like an octopus. The kids thought this was great!
4 Lighthouses down, 6 to go!
