In between stops at the lighthouses, we were able to find a little time to play at the beach. We found a perfect spot to stop and have a picnic lunch. While here we were able to explore the rocks which had a bunch of tide pools. I love looking at tide pools and these ones had a lot to see. While we all explored, Papa kept an eye on our sandcastles and made sure the seagulls didn't get any of our stuff. 
Aunt Angie was Brianna's buddy the whole trip. Brianna wanted to sit by her, listen to her music and they even have a matching shirt. I'm pretty sure she loves her auntie!
The kids found the cutest baby starfish. They had a great time looking at all of the sea creatures, sticking their fingers in the sea anemones and watching all the little fish and crab. 
We made a lot of sand sculptures. We had a city, a canal with a tunnel and we even made a turtle. The best part... smashing it at the end!
