A Weekend In Yahats

During the Triple Digit Heat Wave last weekend, we headed over to the good old Oregon Coast. It was a GREAT, cool and relaxing weekend. We had no plans (not typical of trips I plan!) and it was so nice to relax and just play. It was pretty cool all weekend, but we made the most of it.

Grandma and Pampa came and joined us. Brianna, Brice, Brian and my mom all had a great time flying kites!

Brianna flew her Barbie kite for awhile, then Brice held onto it until he saw Daddy with the big kite.

Brice loved being with Brian and getting the kite high in the sky. It was perfect kite flying weather!

It was also perfect weather for building Sand Castles. We all helped to build some pretty great sand city's. All in all, we must have spend about 3 hours working on the sand creations.

It only took Brice a few seconds to destroy parts of the City. He did this right before we moved further away from the Ocean, as the tide was coming in. So, it wasn't too tragic when he started smashing everything.

Brianna was quite proud of all of the work we did with the sand. I have to admit building Sand Castles is pretty fun!

It is hard to believe that some people never get to see the Ocean or experience the Beauty that we have in all directions around us. It reminds me to not take Oregon's scenery for granted & I am so glad that my Children have the opportunity to experience all of it's wonders.

It was so fun to see you the other night. Brice is such the boy! I love it. Sawyer can't wait to see Brianna again!!
