School Halloween Party

I think it is fairly uncommon for a school to allow the children to dress up in their costumes at school. I think it is pretty fun that Brianna's school allows and encourages this. I helped in the class room earlier in the day and although there was learning involved, the whole day was focused around Halloween and the kids loved it!
One of Brianna's class mates Grandmother is the author of The Little Lady Who Wasn't Afraid of Anything. She has other books published as well, however this one is has a Halloween theme. Linda Williams came in to do an assembly for the children. She spoke of writing, editing, having someone illustrate it and then acted it out with her grandson. It was so much fun for the children to learn about and meet a real life author who autographed the book for them.
Back in the class room there were treats and a parade around the school. It was fun to see all of the classes parading around in their costumes!
They ended the day by playing candy corn bingo! What a fun day at school.
